I bought my car from a buy here pay here place and the dealer sold my contract to United Acceptance aftwr 3 months of timely payments. I recently spoke with a woman in the billing department at United Acceptance and she told me that it was fine to make my payment late, on Friday 13, 2017 was the agreed date for payment. I was past due in the amount of $485. My monthly payment was $300. She assured me that everything was fine as long as they recieved one months payment ($300), before the 1st day of November 2017. On Tuesday October 10, 2017, my fiance calls from work and says a repoe man sent by the guy who i ori inally purchased the car from, is at his job wanting to repoe my vehicle. I called united acceptance and they say that they sold the contract back to the dealer and could after 40 days without a payment! The dealer states that he repurchased my contract the day before i spoke with United Acceptance and that regardless of what arrangments i made with the finance company, he is repoing the vehicle and there is no option to pay the past amount yo get the car back and i will not be notified of the resale! This cant be legal!!!! How is the finance company, all 24 hours, going to make payments arrangments with me and resale the contract back to the dealer?? Are they allowed to even resale the contract back? Im so confused and no one will give me answers!!

my van is paid off and they lost the title that is in there name and they say it isnt there responsibility to get a duplicate tittle even though its in there name so right now i cant drive my van cause i cant get it registered with out a title the state of pa will not take a lien release but when i told joan in title dep she said there is nothing they can do!!!!! um they need to pay to get a title which is 22 bucks and send me the title but she says no she isnt doing it!!!! there is a title to my paid off van that is lost with there name on it and they wont help!!!! thats is fine because the i will have a rep from the state look into this and i have a attorney working on this now!!!!!! DISGUSTING PLACE DONT EVER DEAL WITH THEM!!!!!

Well they are fine with me, usually when i call i just tell them this is the "amount" i want to pay and that is pretty much a done deal. I like a few others was getting a vehicle from a "buy here pay here" type of place and same speech of they will report to the credit folks... Make sure you check all 3 credit agencies, it takes a while for others to catch up... I honestly have not checked my credit score since a few months after being switched over to UA however i am not to worried about it, i only have about 7 more months until my car is paid off....

The place I had my car originally financed though went out of business and was sold to United. I have a 10 day grace period per my contract with the original loan company yet they call and call two days after the 15th. when I have til the 25th before it is late. I just made a payment a few days ago and now it is back in my bank account so now the payment is late from last month. I am not happy with this company at all.

I have never had any issues out of the company other than the western union pay site sometimes not loading on my computer. I do agree that the $7 per payment fee to pay online is high, but that can be avoided by buying a book of stamps and mailing your payments in. I do wish that you could better view/manage your account online. Maybe see your payments history and schedule... that would be awesome.

HORRIBLE customer service. This company is a complete joke. Not to mention they charge $7 just to make a payment. Then they like to wait a cpl days to post your payment and then say you are late and try and charge you a $15 LATE FEE for making your payment on time !!!!!!!

Great company, I have never had an issue and despite falling behind my payments they have been able to work with me. Just wish the online had more to it. Maybe payment history etc. Other than that they been great to me till this day:)

very terrible customer service there. They have lost numerous payments of mines and then charge there $10 late fee for mistakes that they have made. If you cant try to stay away from this company then i would highly suggest you do so.
