I have been banking with them for over 20 years. It started out fine but recently i have noticed a HUGE downhill spiral. Particularly in their customer service and fees. I feel like now i am being charged for everything. I called today to ask about an NSF fee on my account. An account that showed had money in to cover the transaction. The customer service representative (Margret) that i talked to continued to talk fast and talk over me throwing numbers at me and not listening. She talked down to me like i was a child and told me that i needed to "keep track of my money". He manager (Anthony) was scoffing at me when he got on the phone. They were both completely disrespectful.Im leaving and taking my money and my business somewhere else. This is ridiculous.
On 7/1/2013, I withdrew $1000 from my account at GTE Financial on S. Dale Mabry and was given 10 $100 bills at the drive thru. The next day while attempting to deposit the money into a bank account at BB&T, one of the $100 bills I received from GTE was found to be counterfeit. I went back to GTE and was told that my money would not be refunded. I was told GTE has a system to ensure that this situation will not happen, but it did to me. If you receive counterfeit money from your own bank, how are you to have confidence it will not occur again? I am upset that I had my money taken/stolen from me by my banking institution and management will not do the right and honorable thing and return it. GTE is no longer trustworthy to me.
I recently worked with GTE for a car loan, and could not be more thrilled with my experience! I do not use them for my everyday banking, but I do have a mortgage with them and I also had a previous auto loan a few years ago. The process was easy and pleasant- I worked with Rachel in the main office to apply. My application was reviewed and approved in a matter of hours, and I was assigned to work with Kitty in the loan department. After banking with so many mega-banks, it was GREAT to have a dedicated, local contact that I could pick up the phone and call with any questions. My purchase was finalized quickly and easily. Thank you to the staff at GTE for a wonderful experience!
I agree with all previous reviews. I and been to other locations, but this especially has the worst customer service and waiting time worst service. I do not recommend to anyone.
I closed my account over a year ago and have recently been notified that I am in collections. Went to investigate and they reopened my account with out permission. No contact nothing just charged it for over a 6 month period. Horrible customer service, banker got an attitude and refused to release papers on my own account. 1 star is truly generous
This place has the worst customer service. No matter what time of day hurdles, long the wait is over 30 minutes. I do not recommend to anyone.
Have a car loan with them and they make it extremely inconvenient to pay them.... They use to be good when, but this new CEO took over and they are going into the crapper
Awesome bank and great people. I have gone in on a number of occasions and have never had a problem with getting issues resolved or my requests completed.
Long line to see a person is very slow, teller machine is super slow, service is super slow. Therefore I need more than 3 hours to spend in the bank.
This place had the worse waiting time of all the other credit unions combine. They only have two teller working at any given time.
I was treated with the utmost respect while looking for a loan for a car. They got me a better than expected interest rate.
