Excellant Customer Service provided by RBFCU, online, phone, and at this location. Fast and Efficient. Although I was initially hesitant to apply for re-finacing by vehicle, I could not pass up my pre-approved rate of 1.95, so once I did I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was. After completion of the application online it was only a few minutes and I got my approval. In the afternoon, i called the San Antonio number and spoke to Tamara. She answered my questions and explained the next steps and what paperwork I would need to complete the loan process. She was polite and very pleasant. The following morning, I took my paperwork and went to this location, on Lake Creek Parkway. I had a very short wait before I was greeted by Kim, and was invited into a private office. I signed up for an account with RBFCU, and took it to the teller. Bam! I was a member. I returned to the office and Kim, and answered the questions, and provided the required items (paperwork ie driver license, registration, insurance, etc.) that were needed for the loan. She very skillfully input what she needed to into the computer. Then she placed the required paperwork into a scanner, and explained that a loan officer would be coming onto a screen, which I was sitting next to, and would complete the loan process. Video Conference actually started before Kim left she spoke to the individual on screen briefly, the items were scanned in, and she explained what I would need to do, and then held her hand out, which I shook, as she welcomed as a new member. I turned toward the screen for the Video Conference with Emberley, the loan officer. After a few questions, she asked me to place required paperwork into an envelope and put it through a slot on top of the desk. I was done in less than a half hour. Very Efficient !!! Everyone of the individuals I dealt with, Tamara, Kim, (the teller), and Emberley, were very polite, professional, but in a friendly way. I appreciate the service they all provided, and also that they listened well when needed without interrupting. Very efficient professional group of individuals I worked with. I am a member and enjoy using their banking system, but their home loan process is extremely frustrating for a customer because the loan processor is not someone local person that you can talk to. During the loan process, I walked into the credit union twice to ask for help and the local representatives were very nice, but could not help me at all. Instead, they had to refer me back to the loan officer who would habitually return phone calls at 4:59 and then leave for the day. There was an overall lack of coordination with the loan process. Several people called with instructions BUT no one told me who they were and what role they played in my loan. They also have a different process then most lenders but no one took the time to tell me what the process was and what to expect. It was one long nightmare of confusion, unanswered phone calls and emails, constant stress and worry while not know what to do or who to talk to for help. My husband and I still love the RBFCU banking side but will never ever, ever recommend the loan process to anyone. Call anyone else.
Have been members of RBFCU for more than a decade. Prior to that was with another regional credit union. From the main office in San Antonio, to this new branch, everyone we have had contact with has been wonderful They made a recent car loan process extremely simple and took much less effort on our end than I was expecting. Rates and benefits are great, staff is wonderful. If you can get in here, you should!
Everyone here is so friendly and professional. This Credit Union does more online loans then most credit unions in the city. Great rates also!
The service here is great and they gave me a car loan for half the interest rate the dealership was able to get me.
I will never go to a bank again! Credit unions are the only way.
