On August 15 my wife and I went into valley pawn looking for an alto sax for my son, not knowing what I was looking for and with my son being in school and also with us being from out of town I spoke to the guy that was working in the music section of the store. I explained to him what I needed. This staff member took the time to show me what to look for and steered me in the right direction to get what I needed for my son and NOT what he just wanted to sell me. Your staff member went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me out. Once I got the sax back home my son looked it over from top to bottom and once he was done he said "this is awesome dad, you did good old man" . I just wanted to say thanks to the guy at Valley pawn that helped me out. You guys have EARNED a loyal customer. BRAVO ZULU!!

If I could give valley pawn a zero star I would. My wife went in to purchase a firearm. She asked for advice of what she has shot before to what they had in stock and what she liked. The salesman at the counter saw her on the phone with me (while she was asking for advice) and he implied to her that she could no longer purchase the gun and I would have to do the background check. He then went to tell her that she could still be the one purchasing the gun, but I would have to have the background check done on me. Spoke with one of the managers and was told "because we deal with shady people all day we can tell when someone is being shady". Sounds like a hint of discrimination because MY WIFE went to purchase the gun, not myself. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH VALLEY PAWN EVER AGAIN!!!

Valley pawn returned my headphones broken. No pawn shop will pawn a broken, unsellable item. When I received the item back broken, held together with a rubber band, I was told by management to "bounce". The tattoo sleaved manager, not able to stop smiling, while he spoke rudely in a condescending manner in front of a store of people. I did what they asked and contacted the owner @ Gibson location and basically told me that I pawned a broken item and the worker missed it and it was tough luck my $200.00 headphones were broken and I was told not to return. 2 Big thumbs down, thankfully Bose honored mfg agreement even after a year, but treating me bad was wrong and extremely rude. I would not advise a visit to Valley Pawn.

Worst pawn shop ive ever been to in my life. If it wasnt for all the drug addicts in ABQ who take stolen merchandise over there for ridiculously low prices that place wouldnt even be in business. Most of the workers there are complete idiots. Especially the guy with glasses and bad tattoos, hes one of the biggest idiots. I would not reccomend this place at all. Go to 505 quick cash pawn on coors and sequoia. Its a father son owned business and those guys are legit. They look up your item on ebay and match the average price and actually show you. Only pawn shop in ABQ i do business with is 505 quick cash.. valley pawn is nothing but crooks

Have taken numerous items to this pawn shop and found them to be honest and reputable. People that work here are good to deal with and are thorough on checking out the items to pawn or sell. Selling gets you the better price. Easy way to find out the amount you can sell an item for is to go to ebay and see what it sells for, then figure about 50%. They are in this to make money (same as anyone else), so you figure they want to make a fair profit, so the low ebay price divided by 1/2 is what you should expect. Also, they seem to give a better price than any of the "sell your gold" stores (by 5% to 10%).

Went in to look at guitars. The guy was amazing. He sat with me and had me try a bunch of different guitars to make sure I really liked my selection. He was really nice and gave me pointers and sat and played with me for around an hour. It was awesome! He really gave me a great deal with my final selection and my friends were shocked how great of a guitar I got for the money. I have also been there for guns and the folks there were awesome! Great place to shop.

Valley Pawn is the best pawn shop I have ever been to! I was so surprised at the huge inventory they have, especially the large selection of NEW items. It was so cool, nearly half of their firearm and jewelry departments are stocked up with merchandise straight from the manufacturer. If you are looking for great costumer service, high quality items at ridiculously low prices, or to get quick cash... you should definitely go to Valley Pawn. They have everything!

Always had a bad taste in my mouth when it came to pawn shops, just thought they were all like the ones on TV. I was so afraid of being treated rudely and offered nothing for my jewelery, or being told it was worth NOTHING. The guys at Valley Pawn were very respectful and explained everything to me. They were honest and offered me more than any other pawn shop in the Valley. I will never visit any other pawn shop, before first visiting Valley Pawn.

They are very unprofessional. Had to stand in line for nearly 20 minutes. None of the employees acknowledged the customers, let us know that they would be with us as soon as possible. Several employees were just standing around doing nothing. One of the cashiers was more focused on chewing her gum like as cow chewing cudd than she was on helping any of the numerous customers that were waiting. This shop really needs to get their act together

I went there to sell a gold ring and when I reluctantly accepted their low offer, I was given a fifty dollar bill and was told there was a problem with the computer and no receipt would be issued. When I changed my mind, they offered a little more. WHEN I TOOK IT TO GOLD EXCHANGE i got offerd more than three times as much. BEWARE!

This place has a HUGE selection of pretty much almost anything you can think of. They have reasonable prices, but are also willing to negotiate! In addition, they also have incredibly cheap sales and deals everyday. They even offer a layaway system! As far as their loans go they can be competitive, but not necessarily impressive.

I had to pawn my diamond ring and I got a lot for it because of the cut, carat and clarity. And its set in 18kt white gold. I walked out with $1,500 cash. They were really nice and could have given me more but I only asked for what I needed. Honest people at this place I have already recommended to friends.

This place has went downhill. Ive purchased several firearms from them over the years but never again. I dont know how they come up with their prices but a used rough rider is not worth $250 plus the counter help is very rude. Be prepared to wait in a long line full of clucks.

I was in today to look for a sub-compact pistol. The only person near the gun case, was busy telling stories about how lethal a 22lr is. It is fine, it smelled like poverty in there anyhow. The prices were not that inexpensive. I took my business else where.
